Natural Methods To Promote Healthy Skin And Reduce Acne

Health & Medical Blog

If your skin is prone to acne, try one of the following natural methods to promote healthy skin and reduce the risk of breakouts. Once you implement these options in your daily routine, you may notice that your skin appears clearer in a few weeks.

Mixed Nuts

All nuts contain a high level of vitamin E, an antioxidant that assists with soft, supple skin. Eating a handful of your favorite nuts on a daily basis is all that is needed to satiate your hunger while reaping the benefits that the nuts provide. Walnuts are a specific type of nut that can reduce inflammation, resulting in less discomfort from acne. Make sure that this variety of nut is added to your diet if your skin is irritated and red from a current breakout.

Papayas

A blended papaya will remove dead cells and oily residue from your face. Papain is an enzyme that is found in papayas that can reduce inflammation and painful irritation that is associated with acne. Remove the peel from a papaya and cut the fruit into small cubes. Put them in a blender and add a small amount of water. Blend the ingredients on high until the papaya is creamy in texture.

Apply the blended papaya to your face with your fingertips. Leave it on your face for several minutes. Rinse your face well with warm water and pat your skin dry. Apply a moisturizer to your face to prevent it from drying out.

Banana Peels

Banana peels contain a high level of lutein, an antioxidant that reduces swelling and promotes healthy skin growth. Pain associated with acne can be drastically reduced after treating your skin with a peel. Peel a banana. Rub the interior portion of the peel over your face, moving it around in circular motions. Wait for several minutes as the residue from the peel penetrates your skin. Rinse your face with warm water and dry it with a soft cloth. Apply moisturizer to counteract dry skin.

Practice each of these tips on a regular basis for the best results. Use soft cloths when rinsing products from your face and gently pat your face dry. Wash your hands regularly to avoid spreading germs to acne-infected areas. All of these tips will help reduce the risk of infection and will assist with the healing process. Combine the tips with a healthy diet and exercise routine and you will be well on your way to having acne-free skin.

Help Others Make Health Decisions when They Cannot

One day I was playing a game of basketball with a friend, and the friend I was playing ball with tripped and took a hard fall to the ground. He hit his head hard, but he insisted he was okay and just wanted to go home and take a nap. I knew in my heart that he was not thinking clearly, and I didn't feel right letting him go home. I talked him into letting me take him to the hospital, and after some tests, it was determined he had a bad concussion. The doctors told me that if I had let him go home and sleep, things could have taken a turn for the worse. I created this blog to remind everyone to look out for each other after injuries. Not everyone thinks clearly after a head injury, and just being a good friend could save a life.
